The Pennsylvania Association of Realtors has endorsed Democrat Mike Driscoll in the 173rd Legislative District. Driscoll faces Republican Mike Tomlinson in the Nov. 4 election.
If elected, Driscoll plans to focus on education, lower taxes and the local housing market.
“I have known and worked with many Realtors and have always found them to be well aware of what the needs of our neighbors are in the communities they serve.” he said.

Next year, he is expected to run in the Democratic primary for a full four-year Council term. However, his name has also been mentioned as a possible candidate in a special election, if Sen. Mike Stack is elected lieutenant governor in November. Other top contenders include state Rep. John Sabatina Jr. and Shawn Dillon, Democratic leader of Ward 66-A. ••
